Doyle Richard “Rick” Glaze

Mass of the Christian Burial was held for Doyle Richard “Rick” Glaze of Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, La., with Rev. Jack Nutter officiating. Interment was held in Greenoaks Memorial Park with military honors.

Mr. Glaze died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at his home in Baton Rouge, La. He was 74. Mr. Glaze was born October 19, 1931 in Hugo to Earl and Katie Hutchinson Glaze. He was a retired chief mine man for the U.S. Navy and a retired assistant personnel director for the Louisiana Department of Labor. Rick was a parishioner of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharist minister and a lector. He attended St. Joseph Seminary College for religious studies in Baton Rouge and was a catechist advanced level. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Rick is survived by his wife, Jaime Johnson Glaze; son, Patrick Glaze; daughters, Nicole K. Glaze and Valerie Glaze Leonard; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sister, Juanita Loftin.
