Sarah Frances Adams The Hugo Daily News – June 18, 1939 Transcribed by Ron Henson Heartstroke Fatal For Mrs. R.A. Adams Burial To Be in Biardstown, Texas Mrs. Sarah Frances Adams, 79 years old, died early Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.C. Lee, 1202 North H. Street. Death came suddenly as the result of a heartstroke. She apparently had been in good health. A brief funeral service will be held at the residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock and the body will then be taken overland to Biardstown, Texas, for services and burial at 4:00 o’clock. The Rev. W.F. White, pastor of the First Baptist church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Biardstown under direction of the Senner funeral home, who are in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers will be W.E. Roberson, Chuck Stevenson, R.F. Burdine, Robt. Childers, C.F. Payne and Amber Chambless. Mrs. Adams had lived in Hugo for five years. She came here with her husband, the late R.A. Adams, five years ago from Paris, Texas, where they had lived for many years. Her husband died in February, 1936. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. H.C. Lee, Mrs. Manuel Kerr both of Hugo; Mrs. Sam Wright, Paris, and Mrs. R.L. Green, Dallas; two sons, J.A. Adams, Hugo and J.C.
