Mrs. Bell Pope Allen The Hugo Daily News – January 19, 1970 Transcribed by Ron Henson Services Held Sunday For Mrs. Allen Funeral services for Mrs. Bell Pope Allen, widow of C.B. Allen, of Soper, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the United Methodist Church at Soper, Rev. Roy Dittmar, chaplain at the Golden Age Home, where she was a resident, officiated. Coffey Funeral Home made burial in Soper cemetery. Mrs. Allen died Friday night in Memorial Hospital after illness. She had been in failing health several years. Born Nov. 16, 1886, in English, Tex., Bell Pope was a daughter of Bob S. Pope and Addie Pope. She had lived at Soper 60 years and was a member of Soper United Methodist Church. Survivors are one son, C.B. Allen Jr., of Madill; a granddaughter and four great grandchildren.
