Elizabeth McLemore Kimzey The Hugo Daily News – February 16, 1970 Transcribed by Ron Henson Fort Towson Resident’s Rites Today Mrs. Elizabeth McLemore Kimzey, a resident of Ft. Towson nearly 40 years, died Friday noon in Memorial Hospital in Hugo. She was 75 years old. Funeral services were set for 3 p.m. today in Ft. Towson Baptist Church with Rev. J.B. Ingram officiating and Coffey Funeral Home making burial in Doaksville Ft. Towson cemetery. Mrs. Kimzey was born May 23, 1894, in Meridian, Miss., moving to this community in 1930. Five sons and daughters and 30 other descendants survive her. Her children are Edward McLemore and Riley McLemore, both of Ft. Towson; Harold McLemore of Odessa, Tex.; Mrs. Elmer Stewart and Mrs. H.C. Allen, both of Lubbock, Tex., Loyd Kimzey of Commerce City, Colo., and Mrs. Louise Cole, of Ft. Worth, Tex., are a step-son and stepdaughter.
