Robert CANNON is my great grandfather and Rosa Barbara PRUITT / PRUETT / PRAITT was his wife. He was born in AL 13 April 1863 and she was born in AR 15 June 1872. They had seven children, Ben, d. 1944; Mattie d. 1926; Oscar who lived in Coalgate many years and passed away in August 1988, his wife Mary still lives in Coalgate; John who was married to Jeffie and lived in Red Oak for years, d. 1976; Robert d. 1971; Minnie d. Sept. 1985; and Mary Elizabeth born 11 Feb. 1914, d. 8 Nov. 1991 in Lufkin, TX. Mary was my grandmother and was married to William R. MEAD. Seeking descendents of Harvey E. CULLOM, d 1933 Coalgate, wife Cornelia JONES CULLOM, d. 1936 Carter Co. OK. His obit names two daughters as Mr.s Hessie PENSE, Gardena, CO, and Mrs. Boudon WRIGHT, Redondo Beach, CA. Her obit names daughters Mrs T.H. PENCE, Los Angeles, CA and Mrs. B. Wright, San Diego, CA. Seeking any information or relations to John Monroe PRESTRIDGE and Hulda JUMP. Hulda is buried in the Lehigh Cemetery. Family history has it that Hulda was part Indian and died giving birth to twin daughters who also died at birth. The children were buried in their mothers casket. John Monroe PRESTRIDGE and his father, James S. PRESTRIDGE are buried in the Coalgate Cemetery. John Monroe PRESTRIDGE and Hulda JUMP were married 6th of Novemeber, 1897. Their marriage license states that John was from Coalgate and Hulda was from White Bead, I. T. John Monroe "Bud" PRESTRIDGE was the son of James S. PRESTRIDGE and Nancy Elizabeth FAULK. My great grandmother was Annie B. Smith on the Dawes Roll at age 6, F., 3 / 4, address 6591, Roll Number 15780. She lived in Lehigh near Coalgate. They had 160 acres of land. Annie B. SMITH married William Fletcher PATTERSON. They had four children, Nora Lee, my grandmother, Homer, and twins, Claude and Maude, born 1901. Family history said James Terral SMITH was 3 / 4 Cherokee, but the land in Lehigh was in Choctaw Nation. My files are at a stand still right now on my family history. Thank you. I am looking for descendents and ancestors of my grandmother, Ida L. JONES. She had a twin sister, Elva, who was living in Coal County at the time of her death. She had sisters named Belle and Pearl, and brothers whose names I don't know. Her father's name is believed to be Rodham T. JONES, but we aren't sure. She was born in 1867 or 1868 and married Aaron Solomon in 1885. They lived in TX for several years but moved back to OK in the early 1900's and lived there unitl their deaths. THanks.
