The
Craig County History Book Vol. #3 is here. Copies may be purchased at the
Vinita Public Library, or fill out the order form and
mail it in today to get your own copy.
There are over 550 family histories, and with a special
military section of over 200 veteran stories. All new photographs and
family stories, no repeats from other history books. There are new stories
about old schools and some seven-generation family stories. A lot of
pre-statehood information as well.
The history book will cover accounts from families and
occurrences happening in the Craig County pre-statehood territory, which
included the Cooweescoowee and Delaware districts. This includes stories
not only from Craig County, but also parts of Chelsea, northern Mayes
County, Spavinaw, Strang, Adair, and other adjoining areas which made up
the original territories.
