HI Jane
Does Craig Co or others around there have a historical research going on, with the old cemetaries in Craig Co. some have been neglected for years. LOCUST HILL is one. It is about three acres. Most in cow pasture. If someone is Researching and making a list. of people burried there. Or trying to fence them in or do some upkeep. Let me know I'll make a contribution.TOOOOO far away to help. ROY HARRISON

Hello and thanks for finding this and trying it out.
I am just slow on getting some things done. ha ha. Glad to see you aboard and hope this works for everyone.
As far as Locust Grove Cem, I do not know if someone is covering that cemetery or not. I only know about "Our People and Where They Rest", by James W. Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons.
The Craig Co GenSoc is working on the Welch Cemetery, this will be published and out in May this year. Connie from the Craig Co GenSoc, gave me this info. You may want to contact Connie - http://www.rootsweb.com/~okcraig/court_gensoc.html
I only wish I was in Craig Co. I am in Kansas, so a little of a trip for me. But I do try for "Hunting Visits".
Later, Jane

I am trying to find information concerning my Great Grandfather Captain James C. Wilkinson, who was a Deputy US Marshall in Vinita, Craig Co. I have received information that he died at home February 5, 1916. He was buried in Vinita with plans to move his grave to Fort Smith, Arkansas at a later date. His wife died and is buried at Fort Smith Cemetary. I cannot find any records to show he was ever relocated. I would appreciate any information as to where he is buried.
