WILLARD WADE ADAMS

Willard Wade Adams was born on September 9th, 1926 at Cloud Chief, Oklahoma
and passed away on September 8th, 2000 in Paris, Texas at the age of 73
years.

Willard was a lifelong resident of the Sobol area. He served his country
during the World War II in the Army Air Corps. He is a retired rancher, tree
farmer, and educator from Ft. Towson and Rattan Schools. He earned his
pilot's license at a young age and has continued an interest in aviation
throughout his life. His church affiliation was with the Faithway Baptist
Church.

Willard is survived by his wife: Ada Adams of the home in Sobol, Oklahoma; 1
brother: Kenneth Adams of Port Orchard, Washington; 4 sisters: Reba Wooley
of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Vada Boyle of Houston, Texas; Wanda Hearn of Norman,
Oklahoma and Linda Taylor of Dallas, Texas, as well as numerous nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Alvin Rowe and Leona Sarah
(Carpenter) Adams, and 1 daughter: Kathleen Janette Davis.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 11, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Rattan School Auditorium with Reverend Rex Williams and Reverend Paul
Wheelus officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were: Harrison Stewart, Johnnie Courtwright, Jerry
Lawless, Leon Cogburn, Tink Grimmett and Roger Vandever.

Honorary pallbearers included: Eldon Carpenter, Loyd Deaton, William
Tidmore, Sam Pound, Gary Story and Morris Moore.

Burial was held at the Sobol Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey
Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma.
