FAY BERKEY

Fay Berkey was born on September 1, 1918 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and passed
away on May 13, 2002 in Antlers, Oklahoma at 82 years of age.

Mrs Berkey was a life-long resident of the Moyers area. She came here as
child with her family. She was a member of the Moyers Baptist Church and
helped take care of the Rocky Point Cemetery. She enjoyed crocheting,
camping, raising a flower garden and quilting and she loved being with her
family and grandkids.

She is survived by 2 sons: Danny Berkey of Oleta, Oklahoma and Tommy Berkey
and wife Malinda of Moyers, Oklahoma; 1 daughter: Carolyn Sue Berkey of
Moyers, Oklahoma; 1 daughter-in-law: Margaret Berkey of Moyers, Oklahoma; 1
brother: Albert Henry Thomas of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 21
great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James Albert and Gency Thomas; her
step-mother: Lorene Thomas; 1 son: Jimmy Joe Berkey; 4 brothers: Floyd
Thomas; Charlie Thomas; Bill Thomas; and Virgil Thomas; 1 step-sister: Marry
Willyard and 2 grandsons: Timmy Garman and Kim Bond.

Graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at 11:00
a.m. with Reverend Buddy Keim and Mark Gardner officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were: Mark Gardner, Jim Gardner, Tracey Dennis,
Jeremy Milam, Michael Berkey and Doug Bond.

Burial was held at the Rocky Point Cemetery under the direction of Mills &
Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Oklahoma.
