SYLVA M. BRADEN

Antlers resident Sylva M. Braden was born May 17, 1913 in Avery, Texas and
passed away on February 19, 2001 in Denison, Texas at the age of 87 years.

Silva has been a resident of Antlers for the past 30 years. She attended
Souls Harbor Church from 1975 to 1997 and Victory Life Assembly of God
Church in Rattan from 1997 to present. She was a housewife and enjoyed
fishing, poem writing, vacationing and most of all Bible reading.

She is survived by 1 son: Donnie Lloyd Braden of Denison, Texas; 1 daughter:
Marcelle Straub of Antlers, Oklahoma; her brother: John L. Morgan of
Cleburnne, Texas; 2 sisters: Gussie Medows of Alvarado, Texas and Ruth Allen
of Joshua, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Terrill Coggins of Tacoma, Washington,
Twala Coggins of Seattle, Washington, Jack Kirk of Sherman, Texas, Melissa
Horner of Sherman, Texas, and Chad Kirk of Sherman, Texas; as well as 8
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Willis and Ethel Morgan; her
husband: Lloyd Braden; and 2 sisters: Elaine Pitts and Neville Morgan.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at
the Mills & Coffey Chapel with Pastor Kent Jensen officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were: Gary Wiebers, Gene Holloway, Sid Couch, Jerry
Hill, Robert Horner, and Chad Kirk.

Honorary pallbearers included: Terrill Coggins and Jack Kirk.

Burial was held at the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Mills &
Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Okahoma.
