LAVENA (DAVENPORT) CARAWAY

Lavena (Davenport) Caraway was born September 18, 1920 in Antlers, Oklahoma and
passed away on May 5, 2002 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years.

Mrs. Caraway has lived in the Antlers area all her life. She was a loving and
devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lavena was of the
Methodist faith. She spend countless hours crocheting, sewing and more
especially, spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Ruth Jane Davenport;
1 infant son: George William Caraway; 1 infant daughter: Larutha Jane Caraway;
1 brother: Jessie Davenport; and 1 sister: Georgiann Hammons.

She is survived by 2 sons: Billy Caraway and wife Linda of Finley, Oklahoma and
Eddy Caraway of Jasper, Missouri; 2 sisters: Betty Sue Manous and husband Scott
of Caddo Mills, Texas and Billie Catherine Sherrard of Farmington, New Mexico;
8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 6, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mills-Coffey
Chapel with Reverend Andy Reed officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were: Bradley Caraway, Paul Caraway, Eddy Caraway,
Terry Caraway, Tom Caraway and Jr. Gardner.

Honorary pallbearers included: Joe Kendrix, James Moon, Buddy Taylor, Buddy
Jordan, Terry Dean Miller and Brad Miller.

She was laid to rest at the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of
Mills-Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Oklahoma.
