LESTER E. DEERLY

Lester E. Deerly was born July 29, 1927 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin and passed
away on March 16, 2002 in Paris, Texas at 74 years of age.

Mr. Deerly was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He
was an accomplished electrician, carpenter, mechanic, plumber, and inventor.
In his spare time he enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with his
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Ida Mariana Deerly and
several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Ward) Deerly of the home; one son:
Edward V. Deerly; one daughter: Pamela J. Loree and husband Cliff of Corona,
California; one step-daughter: Tammy M. Smith of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one
step-son: Robert W. Ward and wife Victoria; 2 brothers: Keneth Deerly of
Chicago, Illinois and Melvin Deerly and wife Marilyn of Shell Lake,
Wisconsin; one sister: Jenny Kastan of Chicago, Illinois; 4 granddaughters;
3 step-grandsons; and 1 great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the
Mills & Coffey Chapel with Reverend Darrel Heath officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were: Ed Deerly, Michael Stapels, Russel Roberts,
Brian Bell, Robert Ward, David Loree, and Michael Fletcher.

Honorary pallbearers included: Raymond Branch, Fred Ward, Mary Deerly, and
Cliff Hartley.

He was laid to rest at the Broken Bow Cemetery under the direction of Mills
& Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma.
