RUTH EDGE
Boswell resident, Ruth Edge passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2002
at
Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Ruth was born April 11, 1922 in Boswell, Oklahoma the daughter of
Cortez and
Cora "Harless" Weems. She had lived in Boswell all her life. She
married
Frank Edge on July 11, 1942 in Hugo, Oklahoma and he preceded her
death in
1998. She was a member of the Boswell Church of Christ. She was
preceded in
death by three brothers: Arlie Weems, Gene Weems, and Elton Weems.
She is survived by one son: Mac Edge of Boswell, Oklahoma; 2
daughters: Joan
Edge of Boswell and Jan Jordan of Antlers, Oklahoma; 1 brother:
Micky Weems
of Harper, Kansas; 2 sisters: Claudine Herron of Houston, Texas
and Helen
Cogburn of Red Oak, Oklahoma; 1 aunt: Gladys Scott of Antlers; 6
grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.
at the
Boswell Church of Christ with Mr. Wayne Talbot, Mr. Bill Dee, and
Mr. Ray
Mayhugh officiating.
Burial was at the Restland Cemetery under the direction of Mt.
Olive Funeral
Home in Hugo, Oklahoma.
