LOWANA FAY FARRIS

Lowana Fay Farris age 62 of Blossom, Texas died Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at
the residence of her son in Roxton. Graveside rites were conducted at 2:00
p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2001 in Finley Cemetery at Finley, Oklahoma with
Haskell England officiating. The family received friends from 7:00 to 8:00
p.m. Friday at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home located in Paris, Texas.

Fay was born January 8, 1939 in Nocona, Texas, a daughter of Sam and Bessie
Sliger Brown. She attended public school in Finley, Oklahoma and Sunray,
Texas and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Larry Conaway and wife Sheila, of Roxton; 7
grandchildren: Sarah Conaway, Laura Mitchell, Sheila Conaway, Amanda
Conaway, Lowana Conaway, Samantha Conaway and Cody Farris; 2 great
grandchildren: Austin Mitchell and Shane McCloud; her parents: Sam and
Bessie Brown of Sulphur Springs; a brother: Lawrence Brown of Wellston,
Okla.; 6 sisters: Gwendolyn Wylie of Frederick, Okla.; Sanetta Hardt of
Grandbury; Sammie Black of Arizona; Florence Danielson, Geneva Smith, and
Glenna McGee, all of Sulphur Springs; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons: James Conaway and Curtis Farris; a
brother: Tommy Brown; and by 2 sisters: Juanita Brown and Donna White.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home of
Paris, Texas.
