NELLIE FOWLKES

Mrs. Nellie Runnels Fowlkes, who with her husband, Bud Fowlkes, came to
Antlers in 1892, died Friday evening at her home here.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul Baptist Church,
followed by interment in the Antlers Cemetery.

Rev. T. E. Walton, of Arthur City, Baptist Church pastor, conducted the
rites, assisted by Rev. C. R. Horne and Rev. Lee D. Moore. The obituary was
read by Mrs. L. B. Burnell.

Mrs. Fowlkes is survived by her husband, Bud Fowlkes, 2 daughters, Mrs.
Hazel Frazier and Miss Ollye Elizabeth Fowlkes of Hugo; 2 sons, Thurl Tanner
and Willie A. Fowlkes of Antlers; 2 grandsons, Leo Whitlow and Willie
Fowlkes, Jr. of the U. S. Air Force.
