DURELL L. FRANKS

Durell L. Franks passed from this life on November 25, 1999 at V. A. Medical
Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 77.

Durell was born March 2, 1922 in Kent, Oklahoma to Tollie and Pearl Franks.

Mr. Franks was a farmer and had lived in the Antlers area all of his life.
He was a World War II veteran serving his country in the U. S. Army. He was
highly decorated for his service to his country and was awarded the Bronze
Star Medal on October 13, 1944.

Mr. Franks was preceded in death by his parents: Tollie and Pearl Franks.

His surviving relatives include his spouse: Elisa "Lisa" Franks of the home
in Antlers, Oklahoma; two sons: Guy Franks of Antlers, Oklahoma and Kyle
Franks of Antlers, Oklahoma; one daughter: Jan Moore of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma and one step-daughter, Barbara Bell of Finley, Oklahoma; two
sisters: Robbie Brennan of Los Angeles, California and Hazel Speaks of Los
Angeles, California; nine grandchildren, one step-grandson, seven great
grandchildren and one step great grandchild.

Services were held Monday, November 29, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mills and
Coffey Chapel with D. Brent Franks and Father John Marquardt officiating.

Pallbearers included: Don Owens, Gerald Bell, Don Talley, Dudley Weaver,
Allan Brown, and Paul Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were: Jack Franks, Harold Franks, Roy Earl Jackson, and
Elvis Tindall.

Burial was held in the Antlers City Cemetery. Funeral services by
Mills-Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma.
