HAZEL MARIE HOGAN
Longtime Antlers resident, Hazel Marie Hogan, passed away on
January 10,
2001 in Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 93 years.
Hazel was born on November 11, 1907 in Paris, Texas and lived in
Antlers for
75 years although she has lived in Oklahoma City for the past 2
1/2 years. A
member of the First Baptist Church in Antlers, Oklahoma, she
enjoyed
crocheting, handwork, cooking and gardening as her pastime.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Jo Bicknell of Garden Grove,
California and
Jean Collins of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 3 grandchildren: Susan M.
Collins,
Kevin Bicknell and Kerri Hanson; 6 great-grandchildren: Chelsea
Bicknell,
Alexander Bicknell, Harrison Bicknell, Scott I. Hanson, Douglas R.
Hanson,
and Peter Bicknell; 1 great-great grandchild: Scott Austin.
Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by her parents: William H. and
Grace L.
Tomblin; her husband: Stanley J. Hogan; 1 brother: Ira Tomblin;
and 1
sister: Mary Francis Byrum.
Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, January 13, 2001
at 11:00
a.m. with Reverend Sam Dyer officiating.
Burial was held at the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction
of Mills &
Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers, Oklahoma.
