TALBERT CEMETERY
(also known as the old Indian
Cemetery)
Location: Sec. 34, R16E, T22N, Rogers County
Condition: Partially fenced; Some graves maintained. This cemetery sits
in a remote, wooded area. It has been vandalized, and some of the
headstones are missing or destroyed.
New information brought to my attention by Ed Meacham, who was informed by
Connie Schofield: "Ed,
Was reading a couple of the allotment maps in Rogers county and found a cemetery called McLain graveyard on the allotment of Annie Talbert
T22-R16-S34. It appears to be the old Indian Cemetery/Talbert Cemetery. Thought you might like its original name from 1903."
