FISHER, MINSON, SLAUGHTER, TROTTER, WILLIFORD

Dixie Minson Oct 26, 1997
I am trying to get information on the WILLIFORD Line. My grandmother died in Tillman County in 1920. Her husband Joseph TROTTER is buried in Tillman County, he died in 1919. I went to Tillman County in 1995. I located their graves in Hollister. I searched the library there as well. I am trying to find out history and family. I do know that the land my great grandparents owned is still in the TROTTER name. I searched the land records there. Hugh TROTTER is my great uncle. He died in the 1980's I believe. If you can help I would appreciate it.

Dixie Lee TROTTER MINSON, Father is Charles Andrew TROTTER, grandfather, Joseph TROTTER, great grandfather, Paris Right TROTTER,
Williford Line - Dixie Lee TROTTER MINSON, father's mother is Ella WILLIFORD, whose father is Isaac WILLIFORD. It is my understanding that Louise SLAUGHTER was a sister to Ella WILLIFORD. Cora FISHER was Louise's daughter, and I know both are deceased. Is there any family left in Tillman County?

BRYAN, MAY

Ron Bryan Oct 22, 1997

He married Blanche May born in Tipton, OK on Sept. 1, 1899. I have never known their son (my grandfather) personally. I hope someone can help me learn more about the BRYAN's and/or MAY's of the 1800's. These great-grandparents of mine had five children: Wylmouth (married "Wood" - (currently lives in Dallas), Lloyd (deceased), and Clovious (my grandfather), the other two I have no names for. I believe they were all born there in Tillman Co. Eventually though, the family
relocated to Arkansas.

Researching Martin B. & Mary (IRBY) BILYEU in Manitou 1902 - 1925. Martin died 18 Jul 1906 in Manitou, struck by lightening. Mary continued to raise her children there & died 7 Jan 1925. Was there a publication at that time that might have had obituaries? Also, George HANCOCK married Lillie May BILYEU 20 May 1906 in Lawton (she went by her middle name, May). The BILYEU's moved from TX to OK. The Benjamin Lewis HANCOCK family was living near Manitou (Schofield). They had the homestead next to the BILYEU's.
